		I lived on Cape Cod for 22 years- plenty of time to be steeped in the visual nuances that a painter sees and interprets. Although busy raising a family and working, I found the time to concentrate more and more on painting as the years went by. I took classes and workshops and did a huge amount of self-study, building upon my earlier studies at Pratt Institute. I knew what I liked in a painting, and constantly looked at the work of others at museums and galleries, and in books and magazines. There is a lot to learn.
