I have moved around a bit in the past several years: San Rafael, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Oakville, Napa, back to Mill Valley, and I currently reside in San Francisco. Shown at left are 3 of the studios I set up in my homes. I suppose the up-side is the exposure I have had to some of California's most beautiful landscapes. I often consider that my REAL studio is outside of the house.

The beach is enclosed by high rocks and boulders, with a couple of cave-like recessions. The steep walk down from Highway One (and back up again!) is well-worth the effort. The beach-goers have constructed many "condos" out of the smaller rocks for protection from the wind. It is a popular spot for rock climbers, who come to practice on several nearly vertical formations. I go there with my portable paint box and have done quite a few paintings of this gorgeous beach and its colorful visitors.
